Position Available: Senior Metallurgist/Technical Superintendent

Nokeng Fluorspar Mine is situated in the area of Rust de Winter, 80km northeast of Pretoria. Construction for the mine facilities commenced in June 2017 and is planned to be completed during the first quarter of 2019. Nokeng Mine is looking to employ a Senior Metallurgist/Technical Superintendent to join the “operational readiness team” in the commissioning of the mine and eventually be responsible for metallurgical function of the mine.

Duties:

Reporting to the Metallurgical Manager, the position is responsible for the following:

·            Establishment of baseline operations variables.

·            Conduct testing, calibrate systems and processes.

·            Develop and coordinate the implementation of operating procedures.

·            Plant and equipment optimisation.

·            Process modifications/modernisation and reconfigurations.

·            Management of interface issues between metallurgy and other functions.

·            Provide metallurgical and operational training to operations staff.

·            Monitor and report plant performance.

·            Setup and conduct metallurgical accounting.

·            Monitor and adopt to world class practices

·            Provide technical advice to the production/operations team.

Qualifying Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Metallurgist/Technical Superintendent with a minimum of NQF Level 7 equivalent qualification with capacity to drive plant Metallurgical Processes.

Position Available: 1 x Dozer Operator

Andru Mining is an opencast mining contractor servicing a range of different commodity groups, including coal, chrome and other mining services. Andru Mining is looking to employ a dozer operator to be based at Nokeng Fluorspar Mine's site.

 Qualifying Requirements:

 ·            Minimum Grade 10 (Standard 8). Valid proof required from last school attended.

·            Must have minimum of three years' experience working as an operator..

·            Must have a valid operating certificate and license.

·            Must be able to pass Dover test, should requirement arise.

·            Proof of residence is required, subject to verification.

·            Must be in possession or able to obtain a certificate of fitness (red ticket).

·            High regard to safety, regulations and standards.

·            Must be willing to work shifts.

·            Good communication skills and business understanding.
