Wallmannsthal Fluorspar Mine

Wallmannsthal Fluorspar Mine, fully permitted with a mining right granted and water use license issued, will be SepFluor’s second mining development project after Nokeng Fluorspar Mine. It has a SAMREC-compliant resource estimate of 7.9Mt at 45.78% CaF2 in situ grade. A detailed PFS has been concluded.

  • ~20km north-east of Pretoria alongside the N1 highway
  • ~8km from the nearest railhead
  • Mineralisation extends across the outcrop surface area ~300m x 85m with drilling to 180m still open ended
  • Initial land purchases for pit area concluded
  • ~290 hectares land required for:
    • mining infrastructure
    • concentrator
    • tailings dam
  • 20-year LOM at ~400ktpa ROM with low strip ratio
  • Updated PFS completed at the end of 2018
  • Conventional open pit mining method
  • Processing: crush-mill-float circuit
    • ~400ktpa ROM to 100ktpa acid grade / acidspar
  • 19ktpa metspar
